Tal Hajus concept for John Carter, directed by Andrew Stanton.
The collaborative effort of a couple of artists led to the final design of the Tharks, but the awesome drawings of Iain McCaig were the foundation.

The movie sucked. This painting is better than the movie and the book combined...

The alien race in this movie were rough and violent on each other, it reminded me of the baby face little aliens in that Tim Allen sci-fi film, was that what you were going for in the film?

I love the creature design and the behavior of the Tharks. They were the cause why I watched that movie, a week ago. I did not know what I had missed in the cinema. How they move, how they use their horns while posing... it made a huge impression.

Well, to be true, I have to say I nearly loughed my ass of all the time, but I think that was what the movie intended to do. ;)
